Welcome to Parensure (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Parensure”). We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information collected through our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information, including protected health information (PHI) under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”).

  • Account information: name, contact details, date of birth, relationship to care recipient.
  • Care Recipient information: medical conditions, medications, care plan details, emergency contacts, routines, preferences.

  • Device and usage data, IP addresses, browser type, application usage, geolocation data (if enabled).

3.3 Aggregated Data
Anonymized or de-identified usage trends and metrics.

4. How We Use Your Information
  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To coordinate care and enable communication between caregivers and care recipients.
  • To comply with legal obligations and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • To send authorized electronic communications.

5. HIPAA & PHI Protections
We treat ourselves as a Business Associate under HIPAA when we handle PHI from covered entities. We:
  • Restrict access to authorized personnel.
  • Use encryption, secure storage, and access controls.
  • Execute Business Associate Agreements with relevant vendors.
  • Limit use/disclosure of PHI to the minimum necessary.
  • Notify users and covered entities of breaches.
  • Retain PHI only as long as necessary or required by law.
  • We may disclose PHI in emergencies, to avert serious threats, or when the care recipient is incapacitated (per 45 CFR §164.512).

6. Information Sharing

  • With service providers under confidentiality agreements.
  • As required by law or to protect rights/safety.
  • In corporate transactions with safeguards in place.

7. Your Rights

  • Access or receive a copy of your PHI.

Terms of Service

3. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for lawful caregiving and coordination purposes.

4. User Responsibilities
You agree not to:

  • Violate laws or these Terms.
  • Access or interfere with systems or data.
  • Upload unlawful or harmful content.
  • Infringe on others' privacy or IP rights.
  • Share access credentials or misuse the platform.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. HIPAA and Disclaimer
Parensure acts as a Business Associate when handling PHI. We do not provide medical advice. Use the Service for informational and coordination purposes only. Always consult qualified professionals for medical care.

6. Authorized Representatives
If you use the Service for someone else, you represent that you are authorized to do so and consent on their behalf.

7. Intellectual Property
All content and software are owned by Parensure or its licensors. Do not copy, distribute, reverse-engineer, or exploit our IP without permission.

8. Electronic Communications
By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including legal notices, support messages, and system alerts.

9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is.” We disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Use the Service at your own risk.

10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Parensure harmless against any claims or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Delaware law. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
